INFUSED WATER: HEALTHY OR NOT?

Hi everyone! How are you doing today? Hope you’re all having a wonderful day.

If you couldn’t guess by the title, this blogpost will be about infused water. Not sure what that is? Don’t worry, here are some examples:

Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest and other social media are loaded with pictures of these beautiful drinks. The gorgeous colors of the fruits make them look picture-perfect!

But are these drinks only good for the amount of likes you get? No! They are actually very healthy. Here are some combinations for you to try out, along with the benefits:

1. Green Tea, Mint and Lime: burns fat, helps with digestion and headaches,

freshens your breath.

2. Strawberry and Kiwi: protects your immune system, helps with digestion,

All of these drinks are great for detoxification, boosting your energy levels and hydration. You can add as much fruit as you like but be sure to let it sit in the water for at least 30 minutes before drinking it. In that way, all of the vitamins can mix in with the water and you’ll benefit a lot more from it. It’s best to drink these at room temperature, so don’t put them in the fridge. 🙂

This morning I drank one as well. I only had lemons and limes at home so that’s what I added to my water. It took some getting used to the taste, because it tastes a bit sour but after a couple of sips, I actually liked the taste of it and the way it freshened up my whole body! Here is a picture of my breakfast this morning:

So next time you decide to make yourself some infused water, you’ll be aware of all the benefits! You’ll have the perfect Instagram picture, and also a health boost. Doesn’t get any better than that I guess.

If you try out any of these combinations, be sure to let me know and maybe you could send me a picture or tag me in one on your Instagram. Want to check out my Instagram? Just click here.

That’s all for now, but I’ll be back with more health posts very soon so be sure to look out for those!

Thank you for stopping by and until next time,

Sofie xo
